Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Flat head screwdriver 3/8 inch ratchet and socket Wheelchair tie downs Step by Step : 1 Remove the headrests from the back from the back seat. After they have been removed, fold the top of the back seat forward. Then move the seat all the way back. 2 Using a flat head screwdriver, locate and remove the plastic seat track end covers from the front end of both seat tracks. Unlock the rear seat from the seat track and tip it forward, then remove the rear seat track end covers from the back of both seat tracks. The bolts that attach the seat to the seat track should now be exposed. 3 Unbolt the seat from the seat track using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket. Put these in a safe place as you'll need them to reinstall the back seat. Fold the seats up tightly and store them in a safe place along with the headrests. 4 Attach wheelchair restraints to the seat track. Installation will vary depending on what type of restraint you purchase. Metal hook restraints should hook right into the seat track. This area is accessed from the rear of the car when the hatch is opened. The panel lies flat and is usually made of plastic. The plastic is sometimes covered with carpet. Panels are attached to the sides or the interior roofing by cords or springs, and the front portion is attached to clips on the backs of rear seats or on the sides of the interior body. Panel removal on most models is straightforward and readily accessible. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Open the rear hatchback door. Hatchbacks have top-hinged doors that when opened will lift upwards. Some hatchback models have long doors that fit flush to the floorboard and provide easy access to the cargo area.
